The hammock was woven daily by several people at the village school over an eight-week period.  → Datcha Project • Tools #003 [2008]

The Datcha Project, initiated by the artist in 2005, takes place in a house in the village of Kamaris in Armenia. For a set period of time, the artist invites people from different cultures and backgrounds to share in the temporality of the space (defined as a “place of non-production”) with no pre-established plan or scenario. All direct forms of representation or documents produced about what might have happened there will only be unveiled in 10 years time. For the Datcha Project the artist developed a special system that he named “comments” which can be understood as a collection of works that evoke the factual realities of the project.Datcha Project comment # 003 is a model representing a combination of three spaces: the country (Armenia), the valley where the house is situated, and the house itself.

  → Datcha Project • Tools #004 [2008]

The bricks are meant to be used to build an extension on the house in Kamaris.

  → Cosmoball [2008]

Both a sculpture and a playing field, Cosmoball is an area for an unusual kind of football game that follows the artist’s rules. Cosmoball is played by three teams of four players each on a round playing field measuring 50 meters in diameter which is divided into three zones, each bordered by a circular goal. Cosmoball is a permanent installation in the park at the abbaye de Maubuisson. A tournament is to be organized by the local residents.

  → Relative Time • Mars clock FVTH #001 [2008]

This clock shows the time on Mars in relation time on Earth. The rotation of Mars takes 24 hours and 39 minutes. The Martian second is slower than the Earth second with one Earth second equaling 1.02745 Martian seconds. The time lag that is shown on the clock gives the impression that it is always running late.

  → Untitled Extension [2008]

During the restoration of the abbaye de Maubuisson researchers copied the colors and motifs that were used in the original ceramic tile floor. For the exhibition, the artist took around 750 leftover ceramic tiles that he found in the abbey’s storerooms and reassembled them in a rising pile of tiles that repeat the motif of the floor in the Salle du Parloir.
