(Word(s), 2006-2014) interprets the hybrid character of words and their possible mutation. Through addition or subtraction one word becomes several and thus oscillates between several definitions. These words vouch for a critical plurality and in turn explore the lexical, mental, political and social field, whilst leaving the interpretation and commentary free.

— Ami Barak (extract from the Stuttering's booklet at CRAC, Sète, 2014)

In a word: words. Through addition or subtraction they oscillate between two definitions. Two notions merge together, to form a third: the hypothesis of silent utopias, whose mutation function has been marginalized (…). We could also speak of Polysemy and  welcome these words plurality and critical status…- extract from an interview with Melik Ohanian by Garance Malivel.

— Melik Ohanian (extract from Stuttering's statement for the exhibition at CRAC in Sète, 2014)
